Yes, what physicians are calling a worldwide sugar-related “obesity epidemic”, is clearly happening but body weight is not the only issue we should be concerned about.
Unfortunately, refined sugar is impacting the communication between our stomach and our brain, thus making us weak, sluggish and powerless. Research is showing that it is an addictive substance so it should be treated as such.
Far from self-proclaiming myself an expert on addictions, I would like to put my experience in good use and play my little part too in making people aware of both risks and solutions. I would like to show you that to regain control over food is possible and that a life that is light and free from chains is attainable for everyone.
You might already be enjoying a plant-based diet and still not be feeling 100% OK with it. There is something just not there yet and you cannot figure out what it is. Maybe you have tried to rely on your willpower to improve your food strategy and invariably fell off the wagon and felt overwhelmed by frustration?
Friend, it was not your fault.
There is another way and I am here to share it with you.
You must really want it, though.
Really crave it like it was a triple chocolate lava cake with whipped cream on the side.

I am confident this course will give you freedom but you must give it all your determination first.
It’s tough to turn a blind eye on sugar in this day and age. I cannot deny it. For sure sugary food is advertised massively everywhere and looks so tempting.
Added sugar is also hidden in places where you would least expect it.
But if I made it, you can too.
I was led to create this program because I personally needed to find a permanent and lasting balance with food.
I already enjoyed the great benefits of a high raw vegan diet but I was still prey to mood swings and sluggishness every now and then.
My body wasn’t exactly as lean as you would expect it to be, considering my diet style and my soft fitness regime. Ageing signs like stiffness in my joints, wrinkles and such were making an early appearance. Indeed, there are a few great programs out there that help you get rid of sugar cravings but they are mostly designed for meat eaters.
Maybe it is a common assumption that a raw vegan foodie has achieved optimum health.
I am sure many of us have.
However, the majority are not enjoying all these highly acclaimed benefits. On the contrary, they have probably developed an even stronger sweet tooth, due to the abundance of fruit and “good” sweeteners they have a green light to eat.
During my personal journey with raw food I have experienced enthusiasm, joy, incredible energy, but also boredom, irritability, denial, joint pain, tooth decay and discouragement. I took the first three and created this program to fix the rest.
I called it Sugarlibre.

How does Sugarlibre actually work?
The program is a mix of self-discovery and cooking sessions.
The new version of Sugarlibre is called Moon as it develops over 4 weeks. Each week is different from the other.
The first week will give you knowledge and information to build the strong foundations needed to master your success. It is vital that you acknowledge this first part of the program as it is equally important as the following ones.
During this week we will also start preparing some recipes.
In the second week of the program, you will not only be receiving more top tips from Sugarlibre but also enjoy making mouth-watering recipes from scratch. Yes, real cooking involved, so be prepared to get your hands dirty and your kitchen in full swing!
We will cut, chop, sprout, grate, marinate, ferment, massage and learn about flavour combinations.
You will love our breakfasts, both filling and delicious, and our recipes mixing cuisines from many parts of the world.
Sara and I have both lived in a few different countries and have been influenced so much by many flavours and cuisines from areas such as Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia and South America.
Week 3 is our turning point.
The most challenging part of Sugalibre Moon will be behind us. We willl have accomplished so much and feel inspired and energetic. We’ll take time to stretch our muscles, rest and recharge.
Week 4 is about reinforcing and consolidating what we have learned together, master the art of meal-prep and get ready to go out there and move comfortably and sugar-libre.
How do we start?
Starting from Day 1 of Sugarlibre and throughout the whole duration of Sugarlibre Moon, you will receive fun emails from which you will be able to download the relevant part of the program. The content of each day is yours to keep and you will be able to refer back to it whenever you want.
The information you download every day will also include “homework” activities (please do them!) and prep instructions for the following day.
Are all recipes plant-based?
All of Sugarlibre recipes are:
plant based (roughly 50% raw and 50% cooked)
vegan (dairy-free, egg-free, meat-free)
refined sugar-free & low in natural sugar
low-carb (non-starchy vegetables)
They will however include tree nuts and soy products.
What other sweeteners are we going to substitute sugar with?
In our recipes, we are not using the sweeteners considered to be a healthier option than white sugar so please do not expect that.
Switching from one type of sugar to another just won’t help.
Hey, nobody said it’s going to be easy but
it will be worth it!
This no-sugar way of life does not have to be for good but only necessary until you are confident enough to maintain a healthy craving-free diet.
The recipes, however, are loaded with nutrients and are really delicious so you can continue to enjoy them beyond the program.
When do I have to go shopping?
Upon registration, you will receive via email the first shopping list including both ingredients and tools needed for the program. This way you will have adequate time to gather all of the ingredients you need. It is important you have ALL of the dry items and the equipment at hand on the day we start.
You can get the fresh produce daily if you have access to it.
Considering we are making raw food, will I need a dehydrator?
No, no need for a dehydrator at this stage.
You will however need fridge/freezer, oven, a blender, a food processor with a S-blade, a mandolin, measuring cups and spoons and a nut mylk bag. You will also need a few glass jars and the regular tools you normally use in the kitchen.
Can I start the program whenever I want?
I believe what makes Sugarlibre effective, is the support system we are putting in place. This is why we are starting together on a Monday and we are finishing together 4 weeks later.
We walk through the whole program as a community of people that meet on our private Facebook Group. Everybody must feel free to express feelings, difficulties, victories and of course pictures! We will start off small so that everybody can have his/her voice heard.
Sara and I will also be there.
As well as this, we have two group Q&A online sessions.

I understand there is more than a week of cooking new recipes involved: will I be able to manage despite me leaving the house in the morning and returning late at night?
I have structured cooking in a way so that you will only cook in the evening. Just make sure you have the right containers to take your homemade lunch with you every day.
